Has anyone ever tracked with BC Racing BR Series Coilovers? Need some info please

I couldn't find much data on people tracking with their BC Racing BR coils. I want to know for those that have this coilover and use it as DD's and weekend track car. How do they perform on track and also I would like to know what are the spring rates you use? Your input would be much appreciated.

Pretty much just willow springs I mean its just maybe like 3 or 4 times a year. I haven't bought coilovers yet but the price for a set of those is all I can afford. I would get KW but that would take long time for me to get. I know ISC is out there too at the same price as the BC's

I'm on BC coilovers, here's my setup. I'm using with as shipped springs. I won my first novice autox easily with stock tire pressures. Getting the corner-balance and alignment made a lot of difference. Dampers were set a little bit stiffer than mid-range.

I'll find out tomorrow (going for first lapping day) whether it really works.

Have you had an instructor drive your car? Have you had an instructor ride along with you? Until you hear consistently that you are exceeding the limits of your current setup, its probably ok.

I've tracked BC BR's 6k/8k with a 25mm rsb and 22 fsb. I think they react quicker than my RCE 7k's, and I like the easy adjustability on the fly so you can tweak settings throughout the track event day.

I sold the BC's cuz they were not as comfy for Dd'ing. The RCE's are way more comfortable for DD'ing, and handle pretty well on long sweepers. BC's were better for constant sharp turns like at buttonwillow. If those are all you can afford right now, go for it. Then later down the road go for kw's or RCE's. They're worth it.

I've had both the instructor drive my car and drove with an instructor on my current set up. My line is pretty consistent on the track. I canyon run a couple times a week since I live on a mountain side. I attacked it like I usually do and near lost control a few times I was able to correct. My tires are still very good. Even my buddy who races near lost it too when he was driving my car. So let me know how it goes on the track. My suspension is pretty whack right now.

I track on my BC br series (6k front 8k rear) I run them 8 clicks from full soft on the street, and crank them to full stiff for lapping days (sometimes adjusting them to a little bit softer depending on the track etc..). They handle great for the price, and I would recommend them to you if you're price range is under/around $1000.00

I have ~10 events (autox & hpde & open lapping) on the BC coilovers...about 3000 miles or so. I set them in the middle and leave them there. If a track is really bumpy, I soften a click or 2.

They are not the best ride on the road (its pretty smooth in western Washington).

After a 4.5 hours of open lapping, they felt useless...handling was unpredictable and the car felt squirrelly. For a regular 25minute sessions x 4 HPDE day, they have been fine.

At this point, I should send them in to be re-valved/rebuilt.

Does anyone have anything to say about the longevity of these coilovers? I have researched a bit, but haven't found much on the longevity of these. It'd be for a DD car seeing a good bit of freeway miles, but the occasional drive through the mountains or back roads. I'm a pretty aggressive driver, and I may see some auto-x or track time if I'm lucky, but not enough IMO to justify buying serious performance coilovers yet. I'll look around more, but figured it wouldn't hurt to post..

I never had any issues with durability, or longevity. My main complaint with BC's is the quality of the damping. It really depends on what you're looking for.

If you want adjustable ride height for the look, they work great. If you're looking for a comfortable ride or performance oriented valving, you're looking in the wrong place.

Get a set of konis and springs and you will be much better off. Good struts and springs are better than cut rate coils.

Konis and ralliteks and they feel like they are blown i have full cusco braces, front and rear strut tower bars and sways, rallitek endlinks with the avo rear support brackets.

The konis may be loan but they have a lifetime warranty. Going from them to BCs you will want that setup. Unless ou are full out racing, the konis and ralliteks are a great setup.

Agreed, for an entry level, the RCE and KWs are what I would suggest. When one really gets up there a set of ASTs or Motons :)
