TheDon427
I have installed countless parts on my 2006 WRX myself (tmic, sways, endlinks, rotors, pads, downpipe, catback, turbo, fuel pump, full interior, trunk, doors, etc.) but before I dive into installing parts on the Spec.B, I'd like to have someone there that knows what they're doing. I'd hate to screw up something seemingly easy to do just because there was 1 trick I didn't know about. I'll buy breakfast, lunch, dinner, beer, whatever. Best time would be an early Sat. morning or during a weeknight after work. I don't have much room in the garage to work on a car so work will be done in my driveway, which is plenty big. If you have a garage to work in, that would be great. Parts to install: -CNT catted downpipe -Kartboy short throw shifter and bushings I have an IPR top mount but I'm still not sure if I want to install it or sell it and spend the money on a Process West. Do it this week weather is going to be in the 60s all week. Nothing you can't handle if you've done them on your WRX. Did you buy the STi Short Throw Shifter? If you did, it won't work in the SpecB despite the transmissions appearing to be the same. (You need a different rod specific to the Spec B). If you bought it used as a SpecB Specific Kartboy Spec B shifter then it should be fine. Only reason I know is we are an Authorized Kartboy Dealer and we can't order the Spec B specific STS anymore (there was a single run of them made). -Paisan http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/91072632.jpg http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/141039922.jpg%5Dhttp://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/133406601.jpg http://upload.pbase.com/image/137566671.jpg 11+ Years Maintaining, Modifying and Educating TriState Subaru Enthusiasts. TheDon427
I ordered it a couple of weeks ago. I went to KB's site and selected Legacy. I didnt see any mention of poor fitment. I've always liked Tom's products. Thanks for shitting on my parade, Mike. Haha I ordered this one: http://www2.kartboy.com/x4/product.php?productid=16183&cat=270&page=
AZP Installs
That is the correct one. I guess Tom kept a bunch of them in stock for himself. Last time I tried to order one (About 3 weeks ago) they told me they were long gone from the first batch. You should be good, just didn't want you to get it all ripped apart and then have to put it back together because it was the incorrect one. -Paisan http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/91072632.jpg http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/141039922.jpg%5Dhttp://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/133406601.jpg http://upload.pbase.com/image/137566671.jpg 11+ Years Maintaining, Modifying and Educating TriState Subaru Enthusiasts. TheDon427
Is there a write up for the 6mt shifter install? I looked around and best I could find was an STi 6mt sts write up.
