todd12345
Do they make an oil pressure gauge for the turbo??
PhilT
The turbo oil is fed directly from the engine oil system, no separate gauge is needed. Double Award Winning Legacy GT Wagon
halwith
you could probably T in a gauge on the feed line. you are concerned of the banjo bolt oil starving your turbo?
todd12345
Ok. Because i 'm going on my 2nd new turbo. And i want to make sure it is getting even oil pressure.
pikeys
Tee-ing in at the turbo can get you pressure at the turbo. Pressure isn't the silver bullet, but it will tell you if you have starvation on the supply side. What were the failure modes of the previous turbos? Seals or bearings? bmx045
if you havent inspected the oil feed banjo filter right UNDER the turbo then you're not fixing the problem by replacing the turbo, the filter might be clogged causing limited oil flow to the turbo
todd12345
I don't know about the first turbo. But the replaced the lines, banjo bolt, screen and the turbo. And that one lasted 3000 miles. Then the bearing went.
