BJommin
I was driving home form work tonight when I went to use my cruise control I noticed that it wasn't working. I recently have done some engine work (replacing valve cover gaskets) which required me to disconnect the battery. My car runs great, but I'm curious as to why the cruise control isn't working. I haven't really had the chance to look at the wiring yet or fuses. It is an automatic too. Does anybody have some insight on this or know what and where to look for the problem? David E
Mine occasionally will not turn on when the dash switch is depressed, usually cured by turning off then back on. I assume you would have already turned it on/off and it should reset when the car is turned off.
johnegg
1/ there is a doodad on the fire wall with one of the throttle cables coming out of it. if this is bumped and not seated properly, the cruise will not work. 2/ if you lose your front speed sensor, i think this will kill the cruise. 3/ if the clock spring in the steering wheel fails you will lose your cruise. but you usually also lose your horn when this happens. BDII
check your horn, if it's not working either it's probably the horn fuze or the clock spring Need forum help? Private Message legGTLT
