cusco-awd Posted February 8, 2012 Share Posted February 8, 2012 I took my car to the dealer and was told that it was leaking oil from the cooler and the passenger side valve cover. I know the valve cover is common but I dont really have the time or tools to go after it for a little while. I was wanting to know what I should look for or buy to fix the oil cooler leak. Thanks! ericem Posted February 8, 2012 Share Posted February 8, 2012 I replaced my oil cooler o ring. Oddly though the gasket was slightly larger than diameter of the circle on the cooler itself and the oring would not sit properly. First time I did it I just pushed it in and it popped out and when I tightened the adapter it cut the o ring. Got ANOTHER o ring and this one was still oversized but not as bad. This time I cleaned everything really well with brake cleaner so the seal could not pop out again. So far so good.... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
