180sxqc
I have a horrible burnt plastic smell when the car is hot (30 mins going 60 mph) when stopping, it doesnt smell when im crusing... It only smells when the heater is set on ''hot'' The smell is getting worse.... I dont know what it could be, I've been checking to see if there was smoke coming out of the engine or other source but nothing so far.... Anyone have an idea? I tried changing the cabin filter but it is optional and mine does not have one...
ArtiChoak
If this has only been happening for a short amount of time, it could be a plastic bag or something similar that got caught on the exhaust melting. Another cause could be burning electrical insulation, which could be hard to find. Good luck.

180sxqc
Finally the bad smell is still there We verified of there were oil leaks, prestone leaks, exhaust gaskets that were gone, etc.... Nothing so far... It smells like burnt plastic... It might be coming from the heating system??? (my model does not have the cabin filter) Also, my clutch is very stiff, we removed the air bowl (just on top of the tranmission) and we used some wd40 in there, it worked for a while but not it's back to very stiff... I am really disapointed... It gives my headaches and it smells really bad in the cabin.... Anyone have an idea?? Thanks
