GT_Red Posted February 6, 2012 Share Posted February 6, 2012 Hey guys, I noticed that when starting off I hear a pop sound and when I release the clutch sort of a shudder, kind of squeaky. I am wondering if my transmission mounts are shot, or even an engine mount. Could there be too much play in the engine to tranmission linkage? It was doing this a slightly before I changed the clutch, but has since been more pronounced. Any ideas? Otherwise it drives fine. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
GT_Red Posted February 9, 2012 Author Share Posted February 9, 2012 After some research I think it might be the tranny hitting the undercarriage under load. Does that sound about right? I am thinking about upgrading the pitch stop and tranny mount. Should I get STI or Group N? I hear Group N are too stiff and transmits a lot of vibration.
