landark
I've been poking around and getting antsy to go to stage 2. There is a lot of contradictory info about the 07s so I'd like to get a clear idea of what's going on. I have a 5eat and I would get the CNT catted DP. My questions are: Will a catted DP pass emissions in VA? Is there anything I need to do to mate up the CNT DP to the rest of my stock set up? Being that the stock UP is catless, is there any benefit from getting an aftermarket one? Is there anything specific to the 07+ that I should be aware of that doesn't get discussed? Bolksey85
1: Each state is different regarding emissions laws. Some are visual and a plug in. Others are just the OBD port check. If you're a little worried about it, make a friend at an inspection station. But, IIRC, federal law states it is illegal to remove a functioning catalyst. Again, YMMV. 2: The CNT is a flat flange so you will need the adapter ring and gasket. 3. Not really. If anything, OEM is a better choice for the most part because they don't crack or leak. 4. Not that I can think of.
