Legasee
great item...price a little high....but for that price, I'd pay a little more and go with DM's coilovers ... In Taiwan now...
TVR1977aol.com
I have Tokico adjustable shocks on my Mazda Miata. I've had 2 failures: once the top mounting shaft broke during installation (probably my fault - they are hollow, so require only 17 ft/lbs of torque - wish I knew that before installation). The second failure was a shock that just plain collapsed after being parked for about a month. In fairness, their customer service was good, but when you need four shocks and end up installing six, it leaves a bad taste in your mouth. I've heard similar stories from others as well. I can't speak for the struts, but in future, no more Tokicos for me. Just a word to the wise
KGreb
Must be something about the Tokico miata shock design. I had them on an old RX-7 and they worked fine. However, a local miata auto-x guy had one collapse during a run (45+ mph sweeper, heavily loaded driver's front) and send him way off course into a light pole. Airbags popped, car totalled. Not many Tokico folks in the region for several years after that.
