mass-hole
Seeing as the 6spd Spec.B has the collar you need to slide up to get into reverse, is there an issue with shift knobs not specifically made for this setup? It appears the top of the collar slides into the stock knob. I am looking to use a TWM knob from my GTO once its sold but I wanna make sure it will work before i put down the money to get the retreaded insert for it. mass-hole
Well i got an answer back from TWM. I thought they just made random knobs and said they were for the Spec.B but apparently they do make knobs specifically for the Spec.b/STi 6spd with reverse lockout. For everyones furture reference these will work on the specb/sti according to the email from TWM. http://www.twmshiftknobs.com/shiftknobs/subarushiftknobs/legacy-gt-spec-b-2006-2009-shift-knobs.html
zmarko
Apparently they'll work on my Mazda 3 also, sweet! EDIT - $125????? Scratch one going on my Mazda 3.
bluesidan
Those look nice but are very pricey. Look at http://lathewerks.com They have some nice knobs that are similar, just look under the STI page.

I know it wont fit the '10+ Legacy 6spd. Thats an expensive experiment.

I'm thinking they are the same, but you could call lathewerks up and verify...
