Shift Knob issue with Spec.B

mass-hole

Recommended Posts

Seeing as the 6spd Spec.B has the collar you need to slide up to get into reverse, is there an issue with shift knobs not specifically made for this setup? It appears the top of the collar slides into the stock knob.

I am looking to use a TWM knob from my GTO once its sold but I wanna make sure it will work before i put down the money to get the retreaded insert for it.

Thanks

Well i got an answer back from TWM. I thought they just made random knobs and said they were for the Spec.B but apparently they do make knobs specifically for the Spec.b/STi 6spd with reverse lockout. For everyones furture reference these will work on the specb/sti according to the email from TWM.

Good Call on lathewerks, those prices seem a bit more reasonable
