someone with a white 4th gen wagon in Hong Kong has Yellow porsche brakes . I remember drooling over them when I saw the pics.

EDIT: heres the pic from the SWP Thread: mrroboto is the owner of this car. Post #2910 in the SWP thread.

this is i nice idea, but when stoptech sells 6-pot trophy brakes with 355mm roters that will fit our cars(18" rims needed), id rather go with the stoptechs.

This.

Or someone else on here had spent an obnoxious amount of money and put Alcons on. Between these two, I would say one or the other should suffice for what you need and then some. If not, you need a better car.

More pots ≠ better braking.

I am a little late to the party, but yup exactly!

M3 has 1 pot brakes IIRC...

So does the Elise.

Nope, Fronts are AP Racing 2-Piston and rears are Brembo single piston.

Yes, the Porsche Brembos that is shown in red do fit on a Legacy. The kit includes a new bracket, rotor, hub, and pads. We have installed a kit for a customer here locally. We are very big on AP Racing brakes, but he wanted something different and unique and so he went with the Red Porsche brakes right away upon seeing them. The red calipers come from a 911(996) GT3 Cup Car.

Several of the E30 guys run the Big Reds (996 Turbos) with adapters and hats. Can be

done, just need the money. I personally am eyeing the 6 pots off the 135i for my E30.

True overkill, but for a set of the fronts with lines, pads, and pad wear sensor for $1050

shipped, that's hell of a deal.

FYI the 135i six pot Brembos use skinny rotors, 26mm depth if I recall correctly. So they don't have as much thermal mass or maybe cooling capacity as you'd think. (Not sure if the skinnyness comes from less metal, from thinner venting section, or both.)

Also their design requires removing the calipers to swap pads. Not a huge deal but less convenient than many other calipers.

For reference the STI's Brembos use 30mm rotors and the Evo's use 32mm rotors. Neither requires removing the caliper to swap pads.

That's right, I thought those were only a part of the Sport Pack, but it looks like they are standard.

The red brakes shown are GT3 brakes (not just from the Cup Car, but any given 996 GT3 I believe). The calipers the OP is actually talking about, however, are Cayenne (the SUV) calipers. The Cayenne calipers aren't post-mount, and getting them to work would require not only a custom bracket, but likely a custom rotor as well. Not to mention I'm sure there is no abundance of performance/racing pads for a 3 ton SUV, so add custom pads to the list as well.
