OgDiesel89 Posted January 11, 2012 Share Posted January 11, 2012 Recently purchased a 06 LGT limited drivers side foglightrtt bulb was out so i replaced it. Now the HID low beams go out when i turn on the foglights. once i turn both lights the low beams and foglights off and just turn on the Low beams back on they work. any help would be great, Thnx! mass-hole Posted January 11, 2012 Share Posted January 11, 2012 Do they flicker off, or do they just shut right off? If they flicker off it could be because the HIDs are not getting enough current so the ballasts are cutting out. I know on my GTO some people were having problems with this on startup and had to get upgraded wiring from the fusebox. Other than that maybe the person messed with the wiring when they put the HID's in and screwed it up. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
OgDiesel89 Posted January 11, 2012 Author Share Posted January 11, 2012 it'll just shut off.. if I turn em off then back on they'll go back to normal. cant be the foglight wiring since they're the factory ones must be the hids, I'm guessing. mass-hole Posted January 11, 2012 Share Posted January 11, 2012 check to make sure fuses/relays are in correctly in the fusebox? Sounds like what happens when you turn on the high beams. High beams turn on, fog lights shut off. . . . Just to clarify, if u have the lows on and turn on the fog lights, do the fogs stay on after the lows shut off?
