LosAngelesLGT
...But you can be that guy JLB you are that guy in this thread. Stop derailing the thread. Its not about you, what you know, or more importantly: what you dont know. No one needs to disprove your info, years of info on the forum already did. Alfred_Buchi
On an 05 LGT you should set aside about $1k just to get it up to snuff in terms of maintenance. Items that should be coming due on an 05 LGT if it hasn't been done at 90-110k miles: Timing Belt w/Waterpump, Tensioner, Pulleys etc. 90k or 120k service Brakes Clutch So if you add all that up you are looking at about $1500-2k right there. Once that is squared away (have em do the compression test during the 90k/120k service) then you can think about putting mods on the car. -Mike http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/91072632.jpg http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/133406601.jpg http://upload.pbase.com/image/137566671.jpg Call directly for your best Whiteline Price! | We Very very true. Higher mileage turbo vehicle is risky business. Might want to inspect turbo for shaft play too. My 05 is out to get me, but I love it so much and don't want anything else out there except 30+ thousand dollar cars. Stuck dumping money into it until it's finally reliable enough as a DD for me to consider getting some track days or auto X's in. Considering selling for something more suitable for my salary... Thought I could afford a fun/luxury/turbo vehicle but I think I might just be out of my league. If I wanted to spend 500-600 a month on my car (250 payment + an average of 300 bucks every month since I've owned it) I would have just bought a 2011 wrx and had a warranty and a reliable vehicle...
