yamaha125
My car has been smelling hot recently but i couldnt find anything wrong i read about the clutch slipping on the auto trannys and that could be it but yesterday i ran seafoam through my break booster and had typical results lots of smoke but it did its job but today my exhaust is smoking slightly out of the headers, as far as im aware im not burning oil and the smoke doesnt smell like burnt oil, im also not burning or losing coolant and the smoke doesnt smell like it would if i were burning coolant. any ideas? thanks
Lsnaple
Didn't you have another thread about an oil leak? I know you say it doesn't smell like oil but I'm betting you have a leak and it drips while driving and falls back on the exhaust. My valve covers are leaking right now and they run drop onto the crossmember and then the jacking plate (whatever it's called) and then drips back onto the exhaust. I could be wrong, but check it out.
yamaha125
i have no noticable drop in oil could it just be a really slow leak one of my valve covers does had and oil seepage pattern under it can that be fixed by getting new valve cover gaskets/seals? outbackskier
this happened to me my valve cover gasket was bad towards the rear of the valve cover on the driver side, so whenever i had the car on an uphill angle it would leak oil on the exhaust and smoke a little. Changed my valve cover gasket and it stopped.
