specialB
Got started on swapping out the springs on the bilsteins tonight so I can finish installing my brand used () swift springs tomorrow. for having 75K miles everything is coming off pretty easy. the only issue i've had so far and ive only gotten the rear shocks off is that one of the lower strut rods is seized to the strut itself. I guess no big deal since I'm keeping the stock struts and selling the ones the springs came on. Will put up more pics tomorrow as it comes back together in full winter gear http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y89/Max00racer/LGT/DSC02646.jpg http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y89/Max00racer/LGT/DSC02647.jpg http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y89/Max00racer/LGT/DSC02651.jpg
chutrain
Just going to give you a heads up. The stock Spec B Bilsteins are not valved correctly for the springs. The rear is going to feel a bit bouncy and will get annoying. I even swapped out to Bilstein HDs thinking the stocks blew out, but same issue. I ended up with Konis that are better able to cope with the more aggressive drop and dampening needs.
specialB
How bouncy are you talking am I going to really regret this mod?

chutrain
It didn't bother me that much, but was bad for those riding in the car. I put up with it for about a year and then they had to go. I just swapped to Konis and it made a world of difference. The front wasn't too bad, but the rear felt like a pogo stick at times.
specialB
What's over the Merc? http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y89/Max00racer/Camaro/2006_0318Image0005.jpg Yea Chutrain I do feel what your talking about. Its not terrible but I can see the desire to get rid of that. I do really like the sportier feel though. The car feels much more balanced. http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y89/Max00racer/LGT/DSC02658.jpg http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y89/Max00racer/LGT/DSC02660.jpg http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y89/Max00racer/LGT/DSC02659.jpg

s car go
Same thing happened when I pulled my MR coilovers last year - the lower mounting bolt was seized in the bottom of the coilover. Doused it with PB Blaster overnight and tried banging it against the garage floor with no luck. Ended up just buying a new bolt.
