I need schematic on how to pull out the radio console/nav, and the shifter area.

I need schematic on how to pull out the radio console, nav bezel, and the shifter area. Someone please post some pics or a pdf of how to do it please. I'm thinking to replace the radio and a my ring dropped out of the ash tray into the void area.

- Take off wood trim, it's just tabs, pulls right out

- Take off a total of 6 or 8 screws that are on each side of the radio

- HU comes right out with harness attached in the back

 

Not sure about nav bezel, if it's the same as the cubby holy w/air vent, it also just kind of pops out...

Thanks for the warning or I actually would of bruted the side trims. Guess I'll have to do this with finesse.

It's easier to get the wood trim off if you remove the shifter surround first. Be careful with the retaining clips on the trim as well. They can fall off easily.

Actually how do I go about doing that?

Remove shift knob, and reach under the corners of the shift boot and pull up lightly. Once you get all 4 corners off, disconnect the cig lighter and you're good to go.

I don't think it'll be too much different, but I can't say for sure because I have an MT.

watch out for the screws holding the center trim on on either side of the si drive badge (underneath)

center trim as in ? This is turning out to be a bigger bitch to pull off the trim. I started from the top close to the radio and a/c console that part comes out but then when i try to get the bottom part where the shifter is it wont budge at all.

My wood trim is held on by clips AND a screw. You have to remove the shift boot before removing the wood trim.

 

After that, it is very self explanatory.

Like i said im a 5eat unless i just dig into the center were the shifters track is and just rip that out first.

You need to remove the shifter surround/ash tray piece off in order to get the console trim off at the bottom. The shifter surround and ashtray piece snaps in, just pry an edge and lift towards the sunroof

And so do I... The shifter PRND is not apart of the bezel around the chrome trim. First pull the chrome trim up and off and then pry the edge below the si drive badge and pull up and out. Reply when youve done atleast this, I'll hold your cyber hand

Not sure if you still need it, but here is a manual for radio removal. Only the first few pages apply, but it helped me out with my 05.
