You may also check the inlet for potential leaks. The rubber they use is prone to drying out and cracking over time. If their is a leak in the inlet, the car is going to suck in extra air postMAF and cause lean issues. Just loosen the band clamp at the inlet-turbo connection and see if there are any cracks.
It's cool; I'm with the band

I checked the connection from the air intake area, they seem fine. I did check the MAF to visually see if junk was impeding it. It looked clean, but the o-ring around the MAF kind of crumbled, I do not know if that would cause the issue or not, but as it stands the o-ring is definitely not doing its job now (when I took it out a crumbled section fell out).

So now I have to find a o-ring that fits. Sadly no one seems to know the size here?

The search continues. I will hopefully meet up with a forum member so I can have yet another set of eyes visually look for hoses that are off.

Just reading up on BNR turbo's. He says not to run 5w-30 and don't use Mobil one ?! Really ? ( I run M1 no problem)

Also which oil line would you guys go with :

The easy replacement filter in the IP&T kit looks pretty useful, but it is more than twice the cost of the FP. That's money I could use on a tune.

Mobil 1 5w-30 synth is terrible, don't ask why, just search it on the forum. The oil degrades quickly to a thinner weight which is bad for bearings all over. Some things you just accept.

Are there 'hidden' hoses I should check? Anything else simpleish to check?

The manifold gaskets. They are a "classic" by now.

Get some carburetor cleaner, start engine on idle, spray each joint between manifold and TGV and TGV and cylinder head and see if you get a change in rpm.

Most likely to happen on a cold engine.
