arangov3
i have a 1998 Impreza (yes i know this is a legacy forum so please do not make me feel like i'm on nasioc lol) and i would like to upgrade my calipers(i have ss lines, svx master cylinder, cylinder brace, motul brake fluid, proper bleeding has been done, and I'm on winter tires due to winter lol). Now for the question that has put me here,I am getting brakes from a 05 lgt are 16 "rims big enough or do i have to go to 17s also do the outbacks with the h6s have the same 2 pot set up or is it just the turbo'ed legacys? thank you and just so you know i am looking to get a legacy(with blow hg) if that gets me some points with you gents! AZP Installs
The 05+ LGT front brakes require 17 inch wheels as the caliper is taller than the stock WRX or RS calipers. Outbacks have a larger vented rotor compared to your stock solid rotor. The caliper is a single piston and really just requires an adapter bracket to work on the H6 set up. If you are getting an LGT read up on the FAQs as there is a lot of info on here for new owners. sumfoo1
Dear AZP, i truthfully am a horsepower junky and have never really followed your shop, but every time I've decided i should build a well rounded car and start thinking about suspension and brake mods, i ask a question and you ALWAYS give a good, well thought out answer. For this reason alone, when i button up my 20g install i will be ordering my suspension and brake components from your shop. I just thought i'd let you know. -Bill
