I thought it was for the wiper but.. i don't know nothing ever happened after the 15 minutes. But i have no heat and these seats are friggin cold. Kennyfvholla Posted November 19, 2011 Share Posted November 19, 2011 The de-icer is a heated part of the windshield surrounding where the windshield wipers lay. you turn it on when your driving in very cold inclement weather so that no ice develops on the wiper blades. it's a very neat option. I'm hopefully wiring one of these windshields into my 96 GT out of a parts car I am getting.
