Custom 2010 Honeycomb Grill

I have purchased an extra grill for my car and am splicing an older F150 grill that has honeycomb in it to make a one of a kind grill for my car. I am color matching the chrome surround and painting the honeycomb silver more than likely. (Azurite blue car)

Anyways, I have a slight problem at the moment. The ford grill that came in was not off of the year truck that I wanted, so the ford emblem support is bigger than my Subbie emblem. I have had a few thoughts..

1. Cut out the extra and peice meel the rest together to make it look right. This would be time consuming and involve some space filler where I epoxy the pieces together and sanding with paint over everything to make sure it looks like it is supposed to be there.

2. Use the ford emblem and get a custom emblem overlay matching the size of the existing one? Maybe a stretched subbie emblem.. But I think that might look weird.

Again, I will put the pictures up tonight so you have a better idea of what the problem and what the project is going for!

STAY TUNED!!

Here are the pictures and the progress so far.

Glad to see somebody doing this on a 2010.

OP what you might have to do is just cut out the parts that show. Then using pieces that you trimmed off the honeycomb to make it fit inside the LGT grille, complete the pattern under the emblem. That's what I did, but at the time I didn't know (well no one knew) that the 08/09 emblem would fit right over it.
