Question About Gauges

Recommended Posts

Hey there everyone, I am about to get a 2008 legacy gt in OBP and I was wondering what people have done for gauge setups?

I have been looking everywhere but I cannot seem to find anything like the

SMY ClusterMaker Dual Dash Gauge Pod that fits the 08-11 wrx/sti.

Will this fit in my LGT?

If not, I'm just wondering what everyone else has done to setup their gauges.

Thanks for the help!

I have the same gauge pack and I couldn't be happier! I get nothing but compliments. Looks OEM because it is. :)

Takes alittle getting used to as it is metric but you'll get used to it.

DAMN that's expensive!!!! That's a little more than I'm looking to spend right now.

I dunno, I guess I'll keep looking for something a little less expensive.

At this point I just want a boost gauge installed.

Thanks for helping me though :)

Yes. But you're not putting holes in the dash and don't compromis the column air bags as you could with other aftermarket gauges. This is a good alternative for someone like me who has airbags in the pillars and wants to keep the dash clean. I like and want. It's next on my list after dp,up, tmic, new turbo, and tune.

The cubby pod is definitely a nice piece. It is actually a Defi kit with the STi logos, so you are paying for 2 brand names but it is probably the nicest piece we've seen come through. No hacking, no fitment issues, no buying adapters etc. And it has oil temp and pressure.

I have been doing some research on the subject as well because I am in the same boat as you. I can't do the cubby because I have navigation, and I refuse to do an A-pillar install. I found some electronic gauges that replace a portion of the driver side heating/cooling vent... a little more complex but probably the route I will go.

Just another option to think about.

I'm very interested in the vent gauge as I like the idea of a low-profile (looking like stock) gauge. Only a couple of minor concerns about it: possibility of condensation from the vent, and visibility / usability. But I haven't seen it in person so those concerns may not be valid.
