skip4343
Getting ready to do a timing belt on my wife's 05 NA Wagon and I need to lock the trans to get the crank pulley off. Can someone post up a pic of where the access plug on the bell housing is please? Thanks!!!
torinalth
pic I dont have, but I did just find it and am looking at it now. its on the bottom left side of the block. its about 4" up from the frame around the circumference..... or in relation to bolts... its just 1/2" above the bottom bolt head (not the nut at the very bottom) on the driver's side. right where the steering column meets the rack. hope it helps

torinalth
whoops, I looked at it again and was slightly off, there are actually two.. one on each side, but both are almost directly in the middle of the left and right sides. if you have an LGT the turbo up-pipe blocks the passenger one. the drivers is easy to get to, but you should remove the wheel to do it and the axle may be a bit in the way.
