I'm all for extreme serious rubber but I'm not even sure I'm using all the 245/45's performance right now, and 265/40's may be a bit overkill except for an even meaner stance. As it is everything fits in terms of clearance, I'm wagering a need to roll the fenders for the 265's.

I like this view.....

seems like all the mags are writing about the Solstice this month, was looking at the tire specs and interestingly the Solstice is also running 245/45-18s. Why such a big and therefore heavy tire for what is suppose to be a sports car?

Yeh, that's definately a sexy ass shot! :D

How well to the tires grip when cornering in the rain after all this time?

:icon_conf i've been living in seattle, in never rains here so i don't know. Honestly i've never pushed it to its cornering limits when wet so i don't know how much it takes to break them loose.

One thing though is these tires get a rep for being noisey but I would say in the past year i've never thought to myself, wow these tires are noisey, they seem pretty quiet to me.
