Drift Monkey
It's just a Spec B model '3.7L'. Well, with a few trimmings, but for performance, it will do exactly the same things a normal Spec B will, just maybe a little prettier.
Right. It's merely cosmetic. 3.7L H6
I know. I guess I should say if it came here, it should be more than cosmetic, and live up to the STi nameplate underneath. Haha, WR Blue and gold-wheeled GT wagon would be very cool. How bout an Outback with the same package?
SUBE555
If it were up to me, I wouldn't. A high-performance Outback? That's almost as much of an oxymoron as an Outback Sedan IMO. Okay, it is as much.

foerster
Personally, take that blue w/ the current GT rims... The golds make for nice flash, but... I'll stick w/ the silver. But, I would be all over that blue... and the interior is beautiful...
agctr
foerster, have to admit, the GOLD rims do nothing for me either. Maybe shadow chrome would look nice too. Adam.

It is, basically, a limited-edition Legacy with rally-inspired cosmetic upgrades. There are WR Limited versions of the Impreza, Forester and Legacy in Japan. Deer Killer
Has anyone been able to dig any information up on the WR model as of yet. Nothing much on the net. Adam. There is information in japan. However they seem to keep all their knowledge on the island  Here's some pics of stuff I picked up there, needs a translation though  http://www.legacygt.com/download.php?id=1331 http://www.legacygt.com/download.php?id=1330 That paint color is really nice in person, but the quality of the finish didn't look that good in spots (on the rear bumper the clearcoat was very thin so you could see the texture of the color coat). The blue "leather" is more like alcantara.. it's really nice

agctr
Thanks DK, yr the man. Im sure you can actually download that catalog online from the Subaru Japan site. I know what you mean when you say they are keeping all the information to themseleves. Subaru is very good at retaining information, excellent actually. Looking at the pics, they are only offering the 2.0 and not the US 2.5, hmm interesting and with EAT too. Curious how it handles the extra power. Adam. Why would they want a 2.5 anyway? Sure the guys who want 400 WHP want a 2.5, but out of the box the 2.0 w/twinscroll seems to have a much better torque curve, especially because it's easy to do a street launch at 2k vs 3k which you need to not bog our cars. agctr
Just thought with those types of models that would be trying to spec up the power thats all. Then again, they might be keeping those babies for the STi only. Adam.

agctr
Have to agree, the WR looks amazing and should remain special edition and STi only to help retain and maintain value for the range. Adam.
Drift Monkey
It is a cool brochure! A friend of mine got one from one of his friends while he was in Japan. I almost walked out with it but I think he noticed.
