Buick LaCrosse AWD.

Recommended Posts

Since I sold my 2005 LegacyGT LTD wagon, my 4th Subaru, last week I leased a Buick LaCrosse AWD Pkg 2, 3.6L, and 6 speed auto/manual. List approx $36,000. Color diamond mist paint $600 optional. Since I've turned the 73 yrs. old barrier, my needs have changed.

What a car. 0-60 under 7 seconds. Smoothest ride I've ever had. Suspension choices NORMAL or SPORT. Power seat is like 8 ways adjustable including electric lumbar.

My first oem XM radio w/graphic equalizer. Still can't fully use all settings. Complicated. Steering wheel adj. height and reach. Fabulous headlights. The optional Nakamichi must be really complicated.

Subaru was great. But the AWD, Michelin tires, skid control, traction control, remote starting, power trunk open, I think, is much nicer overall..

The Buicks are much better looking and improved. GM seems to be focusing their efforts on Buicks instead of pontiac, saturn, etc. Buicks generally appeal to blue hairs and chinese (a top selling car in China), but they are expanding their customer demographics. Subarus target market younger people.

A buddy bought a Buick and then asked him if he was getting old (he's not). When I checked it out, it was really nice. Buick does have the stigma of being an old farts car though.

i test drove a regal turbo just for shiz and giggles. it was really well appointed inside but the engine at 220 hp sucked

The engine you want is the 305 hp 3.6. Big, big difference. Working on pics.

The Regal Turbo GS 270hp I think might be worth a look....

Congrats on your new ride though! Buick looks to be going in the right direction.

I should hope so

Buicks have generally seemed like nice cars, I've just always questioned their reliability.

When the time comes I'll cross shop some and see what customer experiences and Consumer Reports say and go from there.

Doh! I didn't write that very well....since pontiac, saturn, etc. are gone.

The Buicks do seem a bit over priced, but with GM's inflate and negotiate marketing, they could be affordable after rebates and dealer incentives. The MSRP prices induce sticker shock though....
