BAC5.2
I've got an air tank with compressor that I'd like to mount somewhere on the car. It's roughly the size and shape of a 3L bottle, maybe a little longer. Any ideas? It CAN be outside the car, no problem. The spare tire well would have been perfect, but I don't want to give up having a spare tire in there. I'd also prefer to not have it in the cabin (for noise reasons, the compressor is a little loud) Any other ideas? robitrice
you have an outback at least thats what is says in ur sig.....i was gonna say on the back side of the passenger seat (like how some poeple mount amps). YOu could maybe still do it but have the botte standing vertically?
BAC5.2
I do have an outback, but I don't know how that's too relevant. It's just a 4th gen Legacy with fender flares. Lol, I do not at all want to have this thing visible inside the car and/or taking up passenger space. xero287
Hmmm, why not right above the spare tire well (Where the organizer is located)? Unless its diameter is bigger than its length...If that's the case then get some plexiglass and make a box to fit in the space between the wheel arch and the backseat in the trunk. BAC5.2
Hmmm, I'll test fit. I like my organizer! The tank is the diameter of a 3L bottle, and ~21" long end-to-end. I just realized that I've had this setup since March of 07, lol. Max Capacity
I have the "scared of heights" edition XT. No real good place under the car Hey, it's just a Outback, take one of the mufflers off, and stick it there. Most Outbacks only have one muffler any ways. Is there any room inside one of the placstic panels that cover the inside of the fenders. Hey what about in front of the right front tire. where the silencer sits 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). BAC5.2
So, if I remove both organizers it will JUST fit. http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii287/bac52/file-45.jpg I can probably trim the organizer and retain some of it. All so I can power these: http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii287/bac52/file-49.jpg Flip Key Development Thread "Genius may have its limitations, but stupidity is not thus handicapped." - E. mazdaslo
122 dB, that is inspiring, and i thought my exhaust was loud.

BAC5.2
Just the organizer trays. The horns are 122dB, not the compressor. It's fairly quiet (it's an OEM Mercedes Benz compressor IIRC). BAC5.2
http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii287/bac52/file-44.jpg They actually run at 120psi, IIRC, not 90.
