0Tyrael0
We had some super heavy rain recently and when I was working on my car I notice my fog light had water in it and not just a little. Lots of water. It was like half full of water. Im not sure how long its been like that. Probably a day or two. Naturally I removed it, dried it out, and reinstalled it to see if it would work. It didnt. My question is do you think this would ruin the fog light? the bulb? or perhaps both?
Stasis
The bulb may have popped if it was shorted Personally I'd pull the lights face off and use the turtle headlight polish kit to repolish it and repoxy the light sealed shut. Before sealing it check all cabling, plugs, wiring and the bulb fitting itself for any erosion or problems If you can't be bothered just buy a new fog
I Donated broknindarkagain Posted October 11, 2011 I Donated Share Posted October 11, 2011 The foglight housing its self wont go bad....however the bulb will. You obviously have a leak somewhere in the housing. try and trace it down -broknindarkagain My Current Project - Click Here COME AND TAKE IT "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." 0Tyrael0
Sorry I forgot to mention I know where the leak is. It must be the bulb then. Ill pull the bulb out of the other fog light and see if it works in the leaky one. Thanks guys.

0Tyrael0
conclusion: its the bulb. I switched them around and the once broken light is working. New bulb time.

0Tyrael0
Indeed. Now I just have to repair the light. I have no idea how it got damaged. The top plastic is ripped open. Super weird.
