liberalswine
I've read the FAQ's but nothing relevant to lowered specs. I am in the midst of getting either coilovers or some swift springs as well as going with a 17x7.5 +40mm offset wheel w/ 225/45/17 or 215/45/17. According to the wheel offset faq thread, it seems that I will not need a fender roll. However, the FAQ does not indicate whether the info is for lowered cars. Can anyone chime in and let me know if I'll need a fender roll if I lower my car with 1 or less finger gap w/ my given choice of wheelsize and tire sizes? liberalswine
Anyone? I'm ready to pick up these LM replicas for dirt cheap!
UI Vandal
It depends on how low you go (how much "or less" you go) and how much camber you plan to run. If you are not road scraping level and run a little camber you should be fine.
liberalswine
I'm bone stock during this time and still wondering whether or not to go with coilovers or just a strut/spring combo. But my concern is any rubbing occurring at stock height with stock suspension and with pretty much 0 camber dialed in
scoobie2.0
Well lowering on springs alone will automatically give you some camber. With Swifts, you should be able to run those wheels without rubbing. They stick out ~1" further than the stock wheels and with the camber you gain from lowering, rubbing shouldn't be an issue. If anything a very slight roll may be needed.
