chris07gt
Im looking to improve the brakes on my lgt for better daily use and light track use. Now i know i could just do rotors, pads, and stainless lines but im looking for a little more brake pressure. I know i can swap out for the brembos with the rear adaptors and have really good ones but I was on infamous performance looking at oem parts and came accross the 06/07 wrx 4 pot/ 2 pot oem brake setup. now that setup is better than our factory one if im correct, but has anyone done that straight swap onto a LGT. Im sure it couldnt be too hard since they come straight off of a 06/07 wrx, and my car is a 07gt.
AZP Installs
You actually have larger rotors than the 4 pot set up. I am not sure about the pad size. You would be decreasing the surface area of the rotor by going that route and affecting the performance of the system. That being said, I have seen a WRX owner make a bracket to use the LGT rotor but for the life of me I can't remember who did it. If you really want that set up then you can bolt on the fronts no issue. The rears will still need the adapter bracket. -Jake http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/91072632.jpg http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/133406601.jpg AIM: AZP Installs | E-mail: sales@azpinstalls.com | 725 Fairfield Ave | Kenilworth, NJ 07033 | 908.248.AZP1 (2971) | T-1 Certified Amsoil Dealer "Race Tested, Enthusiast Approved!" chris07gt
Well since its using less of the rotor then i see theres no point in trying to attempt that then, it was just a idea i had when i came accross a new set of the brakes. Ill just save up some more for a brembo swap
FPerron
You don't need more "brake pressure" anyway. The stock brakes with something serious like Carbotech xp10 pads will overpower wide racing slicks and have you on the ABS coming into every corner. You can't ask for more than that.
