Stripping and polishing painted wheels

Ok, so I have had a set of OZ Ultraleggera's for sale on here for weeks now and no real bites. I am tired of the black look, it takes away the classiness of the car. I want silver or polished wheels im thinking.

So...the thought of stripping and polishing the wheels came to mind. Now I know that some tooth had to have been put into the wheel to get the paint to adhere, does anyone know how much sanding/polishing it would take to get these ready for clearcoat?

are you just looking to take the paint off? If so you can buy a paintsripper (cant think of name) that comes in a spray can that works great in taking off paint. The paint bubbles off, use a plastic spatula or someting of similar plastic density to scrap it off then wash with soap and water to clean. then either polish, clean and clear or prep for paint.
