Qckslvr
Ok, so I have had a set of OZ Ultraleggera's for sale on here for weeks now and no real bites. I am tired of the black look, it takes away the classiness of the car. I want silver or polished wheels im thinking. So...the thought of stripping and polishing the wheels came to mind. Now I know that some tooth had to have been put into the wheel to get the paint to adhere, does anyone know how much sanding/polishing it would take to get these ready for clearcoat? Drogos
I am interested too. I was thinking about sand blasting
robitrice
are you just looking to take the paint off? If so you can buy a paintsripper (cant think of name) that comes in a spray can that works great in taking off paint. The paint bubbles off, use a plastic spatula or someting of similar plastic density to scrap it off then wash with soap and water to clean. then either polish, clean and clear or prep for paint. 574-240sx
I polished about half a wheel took a few days and my hand were sore and cut up. I ended up sandblasting and powder coating them. Also after you polish them you need to seal them and keep them pretty clean, way too much upkeep.
