Best Sub and amp option for rear parcel shelf subwoofer

I didnt see to many threads on people that have added a sub in the rear parcel shelf. What size sub can we fit in the without any modification? And what would be a good amp to power it. I already have a Pioneer double din so it would be getting its signal from over RCA for that. I was thinking of mounting the amp under the passenger seat. Anyone done a similar setup? Just want to add some bass to the car!

If you are talking about popping out the plate that covers the spot for a sub in the rear deck, it will fit an 8" sub. You will have to select carefully so that the trunk bars/springs don't run into the magnet. An infinite baffle sub would probably be a good choice for this. The Image Dynamics ID8 might be a good choice.

EDIT: Also the ARC 8d2 might be ok. I don't know if either of these subs will clear the lift bars though.
