Searched - Clutch slips after bleeding

Recommended Posts

I recently had to bleed some air out of the clutch master cylinder and now the clutch is slipping under heavy load. I initially used the bleeder screw but was getting nowhere, so I reverse bled with a syringe full of fluid, now the pedal is completely firm, no air at all. I have the adjustment under the dash giving me 1/16" or so of "slop" before the pedal engages the master cylinder and starts pushing the slave out, but it's still slipping. No slippage at all before all this occured Tuesday.

What do I do from here? I couldn't find any other info on clutch adjustment? The slave position isn't adjustable is it?

TIA.

No visible fluid leaking. The slave moves, it will cause the clutch to completely release, but even when your foot is off it the clutch still slips under heavy load. I've adjusted pedal travel per the manual, bled & rebled the clutch.

well then your clutch is toast ..

like the main important thing is the pedal free play to allow the master to move completely back and release pressure.

Now that's thinking out of the boxer!
