Im thinking if i cant find a legacy gt, then i could extend my search to a outback xt as well. Then in the future, just put on some different wheels with lower profile tires. Skidude Posted August 18, 2011 Share Posted August 18, 2011 The brakes are different, and I hear the final drive is different between the two. I'm in the exact same situation as you, but at this point I think I am actually leaning toward the OBXT for preference and not just for availability. Is the OBXT just as fast as the LGT, or is there some difference that makes the LGT faster? I thought I read a couple reviews that put the LGT a second or so faster 0-60... We are at a disadvantage, because our wheel/tire combo is heavier. Therefore, our ride is a little rougher and response to throttle a little slower. But, ultimately, the differences are very subtle. I would guess the slightly higher final drive in the outback is to compensate for the larger tire diameter, giving a pretty similar RPM-speed ratio. I think our overall final is a LITTLE higher than the LGT, but I don't remember specifics.
