MilwaukeeMike
I'm looking for the other wrench needed for cam gear removal. The exhaust? wrench was easy to find but I'm having trouble finding the other side. This motor needs to come apart asap. I need the tool or someone in southern Wisconsin that can just do it. http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m112/newshoesat9/Cam-Pulley-Wrenches.jpg I need the wrench on the left side- or something that will work in it's place. Thank you for any help Mike
bmx045
FYI, you don't need this piece if you loosen the cam bolts with the timing belt still on. High rated impact gun will spin these right off using this exact method. Possibly using a breaker bar to hold the crankshaft still...
MilwaukeeMike
is there risk to damaging the belt? thanks
bmx045
9/10 when you rebuild an engine you put a new belt on. use the old belt during the process. but no, never damaged one since the impact shocks it so quickly, and the belt being tight, doesn't give it enough time to skip. B-BGTLimited
If its being rebuilt you should be changing the belt anyways... damn too slow...
