Brakes squeaking, now they've stopped, what to do?

Hey guys,

I have a 2005 legacy gt 5eat and recently for about a month every time I stopped I heard a squeaking noise, especially just as I was stopping. Now for the past week it hasn't made any noise while stopping, and still seems to stop pretty well. I had an appointment set up for this Saturday and was assuming that brake pads/rotors needed replacing, but is it worth it go to the dealership now that the sound has gone away? Thanks in advance
