BAC5.2
I currently have my eye on a set of wheels. They clear Brembos, but only come in 18x8 +35. My stock wheels are 17x7 +48, so the new wheels would keep the inside of the rim exactly where it is now, and push the edge of the wheel out an inch. I was thinking of running a 245/45/18. My current tires are 225/55/17's, and they clear the front Bilsteins just fine. I definitely have the room for an extra 10mm of width (and I'd get the same tires I have now, Pilot Sports). Has anyone gotten an 18x8 +35 to actually fit, though? I have considered buying the wheels, then bolting them to a mill and pulling 5-10mm off of the hub, but that seems like somewhat of a hassle. They make the same wheel in a 17x7.5 +35, but I kind of like the looks of 18" wheels on an Outback. BAC5.2
They also make them in an 18x8 +45, but those do not clear Brembos. I could probably try to use some spacers to get them to work, but I'm not sure how much I'd need. scoobyscoodle
Since you don't have coilovers you will probably have to do some minor rolling and trimming, but nothing too crazy. Depending on your springs and ride height the 245/45 may be a squeeze since they're obxt diameter. You may have to settle for 245/40 or so. BAC5.2
I'm right at the 14.5" mark from hub to fender. I was really hoping to NOT go down a tire size. Sublimejoe
I am interested in this as well. The rims I am looking at are 18x8.5 +45 and I am running on factory LGT suspension. They also come in +35 and I am not experienced enough with offset to know which would be better/worse or if they would work in either size. I do not want to roll my fenders under any circumstances. I know that on 18's with 245/45/18 tires I would be at the exact same overall diameter as stocks, but I am not sure on the rest of the details.
