cpundyk Posted July 3, 2011 Share Posted July 3, 2011 So i ran out of gas, thats how this hole show started. I replaced the pump/filter today. Starts drives great then about 10/30 miles down the it will just die. No cel, just dies. It will start back up, some times it dies. Never died while driving, always when im taking off or ideling. amigos1996 Posted July 9, 2011 Share Posted July 9, 2011 subaru legacy 96 idle psi 35 , WOT 55 to 58 i know you installed a new pump but still check psi , put the fuel presure guage in line with the fuel line coming from the gas tank to the fuel rail, check at idle and wot. write it down then unplug the vaccum hose from the fuel reg. psi should go up if yes get in the car turn it off do not touch anything record your reading and wait for 10 min, if you see any changes there is an internal gas leak, meaning bad injectos, fuel reg, and fuel pump. if readings dont change then everything is working fine, also do a vacuum test. do the same for the return line.
