Note from Turner Motorsports about Bilsteins and H&Rs

I am probably going to upgrade my suspension at some point, particularly to get rid of some of the softness at the rear.

I am not one to spend over $1500 on suspension for a street car, so I thought that getting a set of Bilsteins (either HD or Sport) plus STi springs might do the trick.

I emailed Turner Motorsports, one of the leading distributors for Bilstein. Here's what they said:

"To my knowledge, Bilstein does not yet have the shocks for the 2005 Subaru Legacy GT in development yet, however H&R does have a coilover kit for the Legacy GT that is in the later stages of development. I do not have pricing information at this time, but the H&R part number is going to be 54426, and it should be about $1500-$1600 for the kit."

Based on this price, I think H&R is developing a non-adjustable damper set. Would be nice to see some PSS-9's from Bilstein, but I doubt there's enough market for that. Anyway, you probably know that H&R contracts production of dampers out to Bilstein.
