My dad has a 2000 legacy L and i like the cars but wanted a sportier version. Exterior is just dirty. it had obviously been sitting there for awhile but paint was clean and nearly no scratches, chips, etc So this guy is an ex hippy/hell's angel. Just had knee work so he doesnt want to have a manual car. Guess he lived in galvastin during hurricane ike but was in the process of moving. Here is the kicker. Brand new engine, water pump, timing belt, axles, etc. So i asked himm about it. Said as he was moving up here he ran across this car (blown engine for $50). Bought it and had all the work done to it and drove it back up to seattle. Well then he got the money from insurance from hurricane ike. So he needed a auto and didnt need the car nor the money. says he just wanted to give someone a good deal. Just got the paper work on all the work done to the car and all is legit. what do you guys think? figured I'd offer $5800-$6000 Also I was wondering the differances in the ej engines. i know their is a ej25 an ej251 and ej25D(or 251D). What are the differances? Im a Ford/domestic guy so i dont know poop about these little 4 bangers. I figured my only mods would be to lower it an inch or so, cai, and maybe a cat back. i dont think these would hurt my mpg which is what im going for. anythings to look out for? to get? to fix right away or plan on it....etc? thanks in advance Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
