Pinky
These are kits for the JDM STI 4 pot front brakes. Worth it? Opinions? http://www.writerguy.com/primitive/brakes.htm
KCwagon
Those brakes have a smaller rotor and pad area than the brakes that are on your car already. They actually fit under some 15" rally wheels.
Pinky
The pads appeared to be smaller, but I think they use STI rotors. They appear to be somewhat of a downgrade from my DBA rotor, Hawk pad, SS line setup, but I wasn't sure.
KCwagon
Trust me, I had these on my WRX and they use the WRX size rotors which are much smaller than both the LGT and STI. Don't get me wrong, they are great brakes, but they are indeed smaller in terms of pad area and rotor size. I ran 16" wheels and there was room to spare. Where did you read that they ran STI rotors? Pinky
I didn't. I just assumed that since one of the kits listed said it fit 04 STIs that it was stock size STI rotors.
KCwagon
This is in the first paragraph of the description of the brake kit : "This kit will also allow 2004 STi owners to "down grade" their larger Brembo setups so they can run 15" gravel wheels".
