gholman12
So I posted this in the wheels subforum but I'm pretty sure no one goes in there... ever. I'm picking up a set of 17x7 et55 stock Outback Sport rims and I currently have some 17x7 et45 wheels on the wagon and like the more flush look of et45 over et55. So I want to add some small spacers to bump the wheels out a bit. Can I add 5mm spacers with the stock lug bolts? 7mm? 10mm? How hard is it to replace stock lug bolts with longer lug bolts? Ideally I think I'd go for between 5 and 7mm of spacer, but I won't know for sure until I get the wheels mounted. Thanks!
black318i
Not a good idea since the lug nuts don't thread on too far to begin with. The front studs aren't hard to replace, but I don't know about the rear.

Drift Motion
you'll be fine with the 5mm, 7mm is a bit "on the line" look into a 15mm bolt on spacer, no extended lugs needed
