I'm putting a EJ205 in my 98 Leg GT. under the throttle body is one and the other being a foot away toward the driver side flush with top of tranny. I cannot remember where they go, and can't find pics cuz u can't see them I intercooler is on... Last thing to do before I fire her up. Help me! kombat_certified
Does anyone kno how i could use my 04 wrx or 98 legacy gt radiator. the wrx has an extra coolant line nipple on the top left, can i route that line with the one that runs into the coolant tank and just use the legacy radiator? kombat_certified
I am doing an EJ205 swap into a 98 Legacy 2.5GT. I just went to install my musimoto radiator for a 91 legacy gt and the oem fans from the 98 Leg are too thick, so im wondering what you used and how you secured them. Im not sure what size fans I need either. Any ideas?
I Donated broknindarkagain Posted September 11, 2011 Author I Donated Share Posted September 11, 2011 Use a slim univeral fan like [ame=http://www.amazon.com/Radiator-Universal-Civic-Integra-Prelude/dp/B001CDB8EG]these.[/ame] They usually come with mounts like whats pictured below. They go all the way through the radiator (between the fins) and clip on the front side. I'm using two universal fans on my car, along with a pretty big aftermarket radiator for a 91 - 94 Legacy SS (turbo legacy) http://image.dhgate.com/upload/spider/e/046/127/e_d3fni6127046_0.jpg -broknindarkagain My Current Project - Click Here COME AND TAKE IT "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." I Donated broknindarkagain Posted September 11, 2011 Author I Donated Share Posted September 11, 2011 A little update on the car since its been awhile. I have the engine pulled out and the engine taken apart. I have tons of pics of the work being done, a few of them are floating around the second gen forum. I'll post some in this thread within the next few days. Doing head gaskets, ARP head studs, all new gaskets everywhere, some painting, wire tuck, vacuum line tuck, and possibly a VF39 turbo -broknindarkagain My Current Project - Click Here COME AND TAKE IT "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." verm
I've been looking at doing an ej20r clip for a while now and my ej25d gaskets have a mild leak so I've been babying her for a couple months. Yesterday it got way worse, the temp spiked like 3 times and had to pull over and try and burb her to cool it down. So I'm just going to push up the swap timeframe. My only concern is the headers not clearing the steering column and the whole sequential system. How did you accomplish this? Custom headers or a single turbo conversion? Nice ride BTW, I put an outback bumper on my last gt wagon too and it looked pretty sick. You should try to modify a legacy L front lip and mold it in somehow..always wanted to do that.
