brus brother Posted June 1, 2005 Share Posted June 1, 2005 My 2000 Legacy GT AT from day one pings with the 87 octane as spec in owners manual. New knock sensor, MAP sensor, plugs, top engine and injector cleaning, flash and reset computer. Local tech helpful but SOA now blames Connecticut gasoline. If you put in say 91 or 93 put a tolal of 20gallens in than disconnect the negative side of battery and it will reset the ECU and should have no more pings. I only use BP 93 now formely Amico (not spelled wright) or if I can afford to put 2 gal of sunnoco 100 it runs better. NOS also makes additive and with that get the right stuff if you still have cats on the car. On my privios on I killed the cat and burried it. But after ward it did pur like a tigar at the light.
