Grassroots Motorsports has the Legacy GTk

You remember the GTk - 6 speed '10 wagon, red/black/white paint job, kart in the back? GRM got to keep it for a while. And they took it to a trackday at Sebring. Apparently the full details will be in the magazine, but they've got a few teasers on their website:

Um, they don't know their Legacy's very well...

"That combo was available to U.S. shoppers a few years ago, but the option vanished when the Legacy line was redone."

There was NEVER a 6sp wagon available. That ruined the article for me in the second sentence!

Aww, don't let it get you down! They're just used to WRXs, so they assume the LGT must have always been better in every regard

And it looks like they did take the EDM Legacy Wagon and modded it a bit, not hacking an Outback into a Legacy.

Totally. They just lightly modded the 2.5GT wagon you guys have. While we're on this topic, could you point me to that model? I can't find it on Subaru's UK, French, German, or even Swedish sites. Of course, the 2.5i forums on here have show me that adding a turbo to an N/A Legacy is a cheap fix.

Maybe they meant "manual transmission wagon". Which was available until the facelift, right?

I know that there are a few GT:s around here, but not many. I suspect that it is possible to get them on special order even though they aren't on the web site. However if you go to the Ukrainian site you find the GT wagon.

Yup. Only in '05. I've got one.

They specifically refer to a 6 speed wagon though when they say "That combo".

If I have a need to rebuild the tranny again it's coming out and getting swapped for a 6sp. :D;)

It has turn signals, it definitely wasn't available here in 2010

Legal requirement causes the turn indicators in the mirrors on all EDM models. So it wasn't a problem to get that.

But they are expensive... $2500/pair at the dealer here.
