Whatisit
I did a trans flush on a 08 forester. it was an easy drain from the bottom, and fill from the dip stick. Subaru claims that the transmission filter (looks like an oil filter) is good for the life of the transmission. They charge an arm for a new one (i think I paid like $60 for it), and changing it is very easy-but optional.
AZP Installs
We stock the OEM ATF Filters. We change them out every 30k miles along with the fluid on our customers cars. Depending how old your car is will determine if the filter is internal to the trans or if it's external like whatisit said. Drain and fill is relatively easy, but get a nice long funnel to fill it. -mike http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/91072632.jpg http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/133406601.jpg AIM: AZP Installs | E-mail: paisan@azpinstalls.com | 725 Fairfield Ave | Kenilworth, NJ 07033 | T-1 Certified Amsoil Dealer "Race Tested, Enthusiast Approved!"
