LegacyDan
Do the 05-09 Legacys have a 3 port boost solenoid as standard? i thought it was a 2 port but after having a closer look today there is 3 lines coming of it and 2 electrical connections so im guessing its a 3 port
jmatijas_gt
USDM's do not
NSFW
What do each of those 3 lines connect to? It's possible that JDM cars had 3-port solenoids, but it's also possible that you're looking at something that isn't the solenoid.
LegacyDan
i thought it was the solenoid here's a picture of it: http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d3/desperatedano/IMG_20110512_112017.jpg from what i can see it 2 of the pipes go to the turbo inlet pipe, not sure about the other one
TRSCobra
The one with the blue electrical connector on it is the bcs and it looks to be the same 2-port that is on USDM LGTs.
LegacyDan
whats the thing beside it with the black electrical connector?

black318i
That pic came from the 2005 repair manual.

black318i
Hmm not sure why it's in the BL*****, BP***** from 2005MY manual then. I looked it up last night because I read it's a good idea zip tie the vac line to the MAP sensor. When I looked at the pic my first thought was that something isn't right because there is no vac line in the pic.
NSFW
The NA intake manifolds look about like that as well.
m sprank
Ah, NA car it is. Yes, when reading the manual make sure you are in the proper section, LOL.
black318i
Good point I didn't even think of that . All the pics show the same thing so I guess there is a flaw with the manual.
m sprank
Not the first. I have all years and sometimes check between them to see if there were "updates".
TheBoostNazi
Open up your hood, immediately you will find a manifold and throttle body that has zero resemblance of the pic you posted. anyway, the ecu uses a map sensor on the left strut/airbox well for wrx/sti's and the LGT uses one to the right of the inlet bend at the hex screw.
