Megan Racing Camber Plates

So, I was looking into MR coil overs, but I have heard that they are stiff. I have also heard that they make clunking noise from the pillowball mount. I have heard you can tighten over time to keep the clunk away.

Here is the question could you use the factory top hats to solve both of those problems?

From what I have been told, one of the reasons the KW's are so smooth(one of many) is because they use rubber top hats which help to absorb the smaller bumps.

Also, most factory LGT's don't have clunks from the rubber...

Here is why I think its possible. The OBX kits reuse the stock top hats. They have longer springs, so I don't want to buy one of those kits, but if I could buy a MR kit for a LGT, then I would get my top hats.

Here is a pic of the comparison:

you sure the box one isnt the rear struts?

My Stance don't clunk nor does my old Megan Streets

A lot of people complain about them clunking don't even have their top hat nuts on tight. The strut is just hanging loose there, thus clunks...

rears have 2 bolt and the front have the 1 bolt. After you dismantle your factory front suspension, you transfer the top hats to the new fronts(for OBX) also like KW's. Our LGT's are pretty much just drop ins.

just in case anyone was curious, you can use the stock top hats, as long as you get a M12, X15mm OD, 12 MM? long brass bushing:
