ptruong86
Hi guys, I recently purchased and mounted (4) 18'' oem Spec B wheels on my legacy but dont have a 5th wheel for a spare. My question is that do you guys have a full spare or one of those compact spares?

ptruong86
bummpp..another question? Would a full 18 spare fit in the trunk?
spec.B Dream
It will fit, but the specific dimensions will depend on how well it fits. The OEM donut is very thin (165 wide maybe?). A full size spare probably won't fit well under the trunk carpet.
scoobydoobie
bummpp..another question? Would a full 18 spare fit in the trunk? Should fit but you'll have to remove the foam tray that sits on the top.

SpecBGuy
why do you want that extra weight unless your taking your car some where deserted.

SpecBGuy
Seriously? yes. i just want to know why you want a full size tire as spare
scoobydoobie
The benefits of an actual full sized spare wheel and tire seem obvious to me, but for one donuts are limited to 50-55 MPH. Lot of fun doing 50 MPH on the interstate riding on a donut. Also donuts are only supposed to be driven on for a short time. Full sized spare will give you more distance and therefore more time to get your flat fixed. Full sized spare is more convenient and safer. SpecBGuy
all true but with a flat you still can drive few miles really slow to a tire shop or something. what ever makes you happy and safe im all for it.
