wheel bearing, wrong one

Recommended Posts

05 LGT wagon. typical whirring sound that was worse on slight turn to the left. thought it was the rear passenger bearing (112k mi, had originals replaces shortly after purchase new). So, bought a replacement, installed and noise still there! Sure is hard to tell origin of the noise

Anyone have advice on whether it is instead more likely the driver's side bearing? Tips on isolating the noise?

Should be able to push on the wheel and hear it creaking. Also maybe walk next to the car as a friend drives it to see if you can hear it. Worst case keep driving it until it gets real bad then you will know which one it is. They don't typically just fail immediately so you'll have some notice.
