Lookatmyrust
i just need to join some forums for this stuff. idk what they do exactly but i know they take alot of a g25 or 27 apart and use the guts and connect it to the real wheel. the pedels im sure they just use the stock ones. unless you damn near cut the whole cabin apart so you have all the frame work allready. Anyone wanna see what it looks like behind the dash? i more took it out yesterday cause i wanted too. i think it only 10 or 12 bolts that hold it in and the wiring is much like pulling an engine. there is one central spot that 4 big plugs connect. then you have the ant. and airbag stuff, then i got all my extra custom crap for the 50/50, pushbuttin start, and random radio stuff. BAC5.2
Here you go mate! http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=110239 It even requires you to use the key to restart the car if you shunt it! BAC5.2
There are tons of Gaming and Sim forums, just google it. I was giving you the build-thread link for the E30 setup so you could get some ideas on how to overcome the issues you will undoubtedly face if you want to do this setup. Personally, if I had something like this in my basement, I'd play ALL the time. Especially if you got one of the butt-kickers for the seat-of-pants feel. Imagine hitting the curbing, and feeling it! The only thing missing would be roll, pitch, and rotation. BAC5.2
Just the drivers seat, just the cockpit parts of the dash, and make sure the radio works. Lookatmyrust
oh yea. all that will be easy. i love wiring. and my built in usb ports are really a hub. so ill just connect that to the pc. fully functioning usb port with my pc. something i have never got into though is how it interfaces with the pc. got lots o learning to do. i hope this stuff is somewhat cheap. already got a tv for it. 37" 1080p should be more then enough. and my pc i have now should be able to run most games. and i have plenty of open pci slots for add ons. hmm. i still gotta get that steering column out.. and dam it i sold the steering wheel before i had this idea. shipped it out yesterday, right before i started do this. o well. ill just buy and cooling looking 6 bolt one. plus my car was an auto. so i dont know what i gonna do about that. i have no 5 speed linkage to tinker with and build around.... i think for now ill just use the g25 shifter. and the pedals. you guys can live with that for half a year.
